About this notice and how to contact us
This notice covers Bikehaven at bikes.compatchecker.com, an independent bike-storage planning website. For privacy questions or requests, contact the website operator at jamesmoorewebcraft@gmail.com.
Your bike-storage plan
The planner calculates results in your browser. Your room measurements, bike details, preferences and entered prices are not submitted to a planner database. You do not need a planner account.
Choosing Save plan stores one plan in this browser’s local storage. Load plan retrieves it. The saved plan remains until you delete it, clear this site’s browser data or your browser removes it. Reset changes the current form but does not delete the saved plan. Use Privacy → Delete saved plan in the planner to remove it. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to load your saved plan.
Website operation and technical information
Hostinger hosts this website. Requests to the website can generate technical records such as IP address, request date and time, requested address, browser information and response status. These records support delivery, security and troubleshooting. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website for technical information used for those purposes.
Hosting records and backups are handled under Hostinger’s applicable service terms and settings. We do not state a fixed deletion period for every hosting, security or backup record because a complete period has not been verified for this installation. You can contact us for information about a particular record. See Hostinger’s data processing information.
Fonts, local storage and cookies
The planner uses local storage to save your plan. This feature is separate from cookies. WordPress can use essential login and preference cookies when an administrator signs in to manage the website.
The design loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google when requesting those fonts, which gives Google request information including your IP address and browser headers. See Google Fonts privacy information.
Contact emails
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond to your enquiry and keep records needed to resolve it, relying on our legitimate interests in handling correspondence.
The contact mailbox uses Gmail, provided by Google. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any necessary follow-up, dispute or legal obligation; it should not be kept indefinitely without a continuing reason. See Google’s privacy policy for its services.
Affiliate and manufacturer links
Some links to Amazon UK are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. These links include a product identifier and our affiliate tracking ID. They do not include your entered bike measurements, room dimensions or prices.
Following a link to Amazon, a manufacturer or another external service takes you to that provider. It receives normal connection information and may use cookies or other technologies under its own policies. See Amazon’s privacy notice and the site’s affiliate disclosure.
Email marketing and service providers
Hostinger Reach has been deactivated. The planner does not include a newsletter signup or send marketing emails. Our hosting and email providers may process information needed to provide their services. Their processing can involve systems outside the UK; information about their transfer arrangements and safeguards is provided in the linked provider policies. Contact us if you need more detail about information we handle.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information we hold, restrict processing or receive a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact jamesmoorewebcraft@gmail.com to make a request. Rights depend on the information and the basis for processing, and some exceptions may apply.
For a plan saved only in your browser, use the planner’s deletion control or clear this site’s browser storage; we cannot access that local copy through a planner account or database.
You may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
